“Greetings Perrywood Homeowners!”
It has been reported that the area may be experiencing a severe weather cold front that may result in two-five inches of snow-mix, late Saturday evening into Sunday. The National Weather forecast, estimates we are likely within the next 24-48 hours to experience a snow event in the Upper Marlboro area. Total accumulation has not been confirmed at this time. Due to the Federal Government Shut Down this can only be confirmed in 24-hr increments.
As Single Family homeowners, the Protocol is for the Prince George’s County (The Department of Public Works & Transit) to remove snow from your streets. Please note that Primary and Collector roads will be plowed and treated during active snow fall. Once the snow fall stops, the resources will move into residential areas. Snow operation deploys will adjust depending on the amount of snowfall. Please contact county click 3-1-1 for updates.
Snow Protocol for Townhomes:
Our protocol is that AMG our Snow Removal Contractor will pre-treat the road and will remove at the accumulation of snow fall on the streets within the town home area. Considering the ever-changing weather forecasts and the predicted severe drops in temperature expected after midnight tonight, it is prudent that AMG pretreat the streets to keep travel lanes clear going into Sunday Morning. You can expect to hear their service trucks within the Community, if you have not already, this evening should the forecast remain bleak.
Please stay safe!
